In September 2011, a Rafiki Committee was set up to support Rev Benon Byruhanga in the work he does for Rafiki Thabo. The following members were chosen to represent town schools, rural schools and university. The committee are responsible for
1) Managing applications
2) Communication between schools and Rafiki Thabo
3) Communication between Rafiki Thabo students and the UK
4) Promotion of Rafiki Thabo within Kabale district
