The Rafiki Thabo Foundation is a partnership charity with a focus on local communities and personal contacts. In light of this, the charity was named ‘Rafiki Thabo’ meaning friendship and happiness in Swahili. All projects are initiated and managed by experienced members of the communities in Africa. We have had direct and personal contacts with all the communities we work with since 2000. As a result of these trusted personal contacts, we know exactly where the money we raise is spent and which projects are directly benefiting. This level of contact ensures that every penny donated to the Rafiki Thabo Foundation is spent effectively.
